A hot summers day. Adults out most of the day. The chicks were very hot. Short clip from the bedroom nest.

Typical British weather. Today was cool cloudy with the threat of thunder this afternoon. It’s 7 pm and it is raining hard. Every time I have looked all 4 adults have stayed in.

The hottest day of the year. We were out with friends most of the day. This morning was in the garden with 7 bangers flying up to the bedroom nest. At the time there were 2 adults at the entrance of the bedroom nest screaming back to the bangers and at least1 adult on the chimney nest. That totals 10. A good number for here. Short clip of panting adult in the bedroom nest with 3 hot chicks and a clip of the chimney nest with at least 2 chicks being fed.

Another lovely summers day. Not too much sun but a real swift day. Two clips. One from new camera on the chimney nest. The last camera had fallen and the ledge it was on had moved. I just managed to get a new camera I had but it is not well placed but had to work quickly as an adult swift arrived. Another nice clip from bedroom nest.

Another hot summers day. I have been busy as have the adults in the bedroom nest. I have managed to put up a new cam on the chimney nest. It was not easy. Didn’t want to disturb the swifts so it is by no means ideally placed but earlier was able to confirm. At least 2 chicks in the chimney nest. Not able to record this just an adult on the nest.

A lovely warm summer day, at long last. Was out in the garden with 5 swifts flying around with some screaming. The chicks are being left alone as it is warm enough. Short lip showing clearly 3 chicks in the nest.

Much sunnier and warmer. Swift weather at last. 4 screaming round the house while I was gardening. I know there are 3 chicks in the nest and all 3 are getting plenty of food. A clip of feeding time.

Whilst watching caught a changing of the guard. These clips and more watching confirms that there are three chicks in the nest. Two clips and you have to look carefully.

I was so lucky. Was out with friends this evening when I had the chance looked at camera to see empty nest with at least 2 chicks. Then both parents arrived one after the other. I think the chicks had been well fed during the day as they didn’t seem very interested in more.

It is still cool for the time of year and there is a swift on the nest all day. Did manage to catch a shift change and a quick view of 2 of the eggs.
