Very sad morning. At about 11am I found a dead swift on the drive. It didn’t appear to be superficially injured so I don’t think it was predated. I think it’s neck may have been broken. I watered plants where I found it late last night so it happened overnight. I wonder if it flew into a house wall. I have been carefully looking at the cameras all day and only this evening saw two swifts in both of the main nests. Not a comfortable day. I have not seen any sign of a swift in the new attic nest.
